Anne Evans and Dick Lee – Classics to Jazz - Debussy to Goodman

Biography
Anne and Dick's concert programme features music from the place where jazz and classical meet and mingle, Debussy and Scott Joplin in one corner and Benny Goodman and Frank Bridge in another. Dick's own jazz flavoured compositions are also included.
Anne and Dick introduce each item on the programme, telling the audience a bit about the music and recounting stories and anecdotes from the sometimes tumultuous lives of the composers.
Anne switches instruments "with stunning facility". She appears regularly with Dick Lee's Swingtet and also featured with Dr. Lee's Prescription in their much publicised performances of Dick's Commonwealth Games composition commission The Games.
Dick gets involved with all kinds of music with all kinds of musicians. As composer, arranger, producer and performer on recorder, saxophone and clarinet, Dick plays with David Vernon and Dick Lee, Dr. Lee's Prescription and Bechet Nouveau.
