As a quartet Cuillin Sound perform some of the colourful and attractive concert repertoire by Jean Francaix, Eddie McGuire and Frank Bridge alongside excellent adaptations of the classics. They also perform as a duo, trio, quintet or sextet with or without piano with an outstanding range of repertoire by CPE Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Glinka, Poulenc and Villa-Lobos, as well as contemporary repertoire.
Formed in 2010 and originally a very popular woodwind trio, Cuillin Sound is now expanding and diversifying with new repertoire and innovative concert presentations. In addition to the standard instruments, Cuillin Sound open up a whole new sound-world with the inclusion of alto flute, piccolo, G flute, cor anglais, oboe d'amore, E flat clarinet and bass clarinet. Promoters and audiences who have enjoyed the original Cuillin Sound trio concerts will find a whole new repertoire and highly attractive themed concerts emerging.
