Repertoire

The Holland Savaloni Duo has a large range of exciting repertoire that can complement any music series. Programmes can be tailor-made to suit audiences with varying styles, and the current repertoire includes Shubert and Renaissance dances, an arrangement of opera favourites from Carmen, and Argentinian Tango by Piazolla.

Biography

A duo whose energised approach to flute and guitar repertoire engages and entertains audiences. Lee and Sasha are highly in demand for recitals, orchestral and education work. They believe passionately in providing high quality yet accessible performances for all audiences.

Lee Holland-Originally from London, Lee Holland has a successful and varied freelance career involving performing, and performance psychology coaching throughout the UK. Currently as a freelance orchestral flute player Lee performs regularly with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Orchestra of Scottish Opera and Orchestra of Scottish Ballet.

Solo broadcasts have included the performance of contemporary composer Charlotte Seither's solo work Seul Avec des Ombres, for a pre-prom concert on Radio 3.

Further performances have combined International touring in India with the multi-genre European Concert Orchestra supporting the band Coldplay at the Global Citizen Festival, and playing principal flute on European tour with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and chief conductor Maxim Emelyanychev in 2022.

Lee is a passionate advocate and performer of chamber music. In 2018 she was invited to join the board of Chamber Music Scotland to support the growth of Scottish Chamber Music.

Sasha Savaloni-Classical guitarist Sasha Savaloni is the winner of two of the most prestigious guitar competitions in Europe; the Sevilla International Guitar Competition (2018) and the New Elizabethan Award (2022).

As a soloist he has given concerts across Europe and throughout the UK, performing recitals in venues such as the Wigmore Hall (London), Kings Place (London), Usher Hall (Edinburgh), Sage Gateshead, The Shoe Factory (Nicosia), City Halls (Glasgow), Holyrood Palace (Edinburgh), DIT Conservatory (Dublin) and the Leeds College of Music as well as performances in festivals such as the London Guitar Festival, St Magnus International Festival, Sul Tasto Paris, Festival de la Guitarra de Sevilla, Big Guitar Weekend and Festival Corde d’Autunno.

He has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the European Union Youth Orchestra. He has also performed and given interviews for BBC Radio Scotland’s Classics Unwrapped programme.

Sasha is a guitar lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where in 2023 he completed a doctorate.
