Repertoire
We have a huge selection of repertoire between us. Classical music from Baroque through to the Romantic era and continuing with more contemporary music from Stravinsky to Britten and expanding to new music composed from the late 20th century to today.
Opera is what we mainly have performed in the past few years but song is also something we enjoy and love exploring.
Whether it’s a grand opera gala, an intimate recital with attention to detail in repertoire choices or themed recitals, we enjoy all of them. If you know exactly what you want or if you’d like something different with some guidance, we are more than happy to help.
Biography
Sioned is a Welsh Mezzo-Soprano originally from Colwyn Bay, North Wales. She studied at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the National Opera Studio, London. She is a former Emerging Artist with Scottish Opera and she represented Wales in The BBC Cardiff Singer of the World in 2017. In 2023 she covered the title role of Carmen for Scottish Opera and also sang in the Access Performances in in venues throughout Scotland. Earlier in the year she performed La Badessa and La Ciesca in Scottish Opera’s production of Il Trittico by Puccini, directed by Sir David McVicar. After a successful run of The Seal Woman in 2022 she once again performed the Celtic Folk Opera by Granville Bantock and Marjory Kennedy-Fraser with Scots Opera Project in Arran, West Kilbride, Edinburgh Trad Festival and at The Perth Festival of Arts.
Kristina Yorgova is a collaborative pianist and repetiteur, currently Emerging Artist Repetiteur at Scottish Opera. Most recently she was repetiteur for Puccini’s Il Trittico and music director/pianist for the Opera Highlights Autumn 2022 tour. Previously she was Studio Artist at Mascarade Opera Studio, Florence. Kristina has played recitals in venues in Bulgaria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Russia and the United Kingdom.
