Artist in Residence
Our inaugural Artist in Residence is Kim Moore. Kim is an exceptional composer and sound artist who has worked across theatre, film and dance, and will be using this opportunity as Artist in Residence to develop her practice in composing for chamber ensembles, including a new instrumental work for the Chamber Music Scotland Ensemble in Residence, GAIA. To read more about Kim's work, visit her website.
I'm so grateful to Chamber Music Scotland for this opportunity, and I'm excited to see where this supported time will take me as an artist. Being supported in this way has given me the gentle push I needed to focus on developing my own practice. This opportunity really couldn't have arisen at a better time. I can't wait to get started, exploring and experimenting with the potential of a new work for performance with the incredible ensemble in residence GAIA, blending my interest in electronic music and sound design with contemporary ensemble writing. Thank you, thank you Chamber Music Scotland.
